Scotland, here I am again

Lancaster can be as lovely as it can be, but having a little break from university and small cities for four days with friends is the best thing. This is how six of us went to Scotland, staying three nights in Glasgow and exploring the Highlands in a roadtrip of twelve hours.

The Highlands and the lakes were even more astonishing as we expected. The colours of the landscapes were as beautiful in February as it could be during fall.

Glasgow was a total discovery. I had been told that Glasgow was sad, cold and ugly compared to Edinburgh, which is actually false because it is completely different from Edinburgh. Glasgow is a city for business, but a living city anyway. I was surprised by the number of pubs, fancy restaurants and trendy places we found, perfect for after-works! (I actually considered looking for my internship in Glasgow haha)

Here are some addresses we loved:

Shilling Brewing
Bar & Pizzas (92 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1PJ)
Their Greek Pizza are delicious!

All bar one
Bar (56-72 St Vincent St, Glasgow G2 5TS)
Perfect for after-works or meetings with friends.
Feel free to come sooner to get a table!

The Hope
Bar & Restaurant (6-8 Waterloo St, City Centre, Glasgow G2 6DA)
We didn't try their menu but the place is really cosy and nice.
Perfect to meet at the end of the day or to take your train after a beer.

 The Garage
Club (490 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow G2 3LW)
This club is huge and we had a really good a time there.

Don't forget to see the cathedral and the Necropolis, as well as look for street art paintings all around the city, Glasgow is not only roads and buildings !

More stories to come!
