A morning in Lancaster

We are finally back ! Don't blame us, getting used to British courses and deadlines was pretty tough and to be fair, we still have plenty efforts to do. This is obviously not our first time in town, but we usually only go there to do our groceries and shopping in the city centre.
We know we should have visited Lancaster sooner when the weather was still correct, don't be fooled by the pictures, we had hailstorms all week-end. Anyway, enjoy the pictures !

LANCASTER CASTLE

The first thing we wanted to do was the castle. Unfortunately it is currently being renovated so it wasn't as nice as it could be.

 Look at these cuties posing

We didn't visit it, probably next time!

LANCASTER OBSERVATORY

We didn't actually plan our journey, so after the castle we thought going to the observatory was a pretty good idea. We realize in 2 minutes that it was very far away, but we did it anyway. What's better than walking to eliminate a night's aftereffects ?

After a 30 minutes walk, we arrived at the spot, offering us a magnificent view, despite hail.

Finally, we got back to Lancaster and had lunch in a traditional canal-side British pub and ate as much as we needed (as we could). It was already time to go back to campus and I fell, as usual, asleep in the bus.

More stories to come (really soon) !
Take care
